Prevent Screen Lock During Calls | Apple Support Communities
Often times during conference calls you’ll be listening for long periods of time. But you also need to jump in quickly with comments when the time arises. Unfortunately you find your iPhone screen has locked itself. And adding comments from a muted & locked iPhone used to involve fumbling and delays trying to un-lock & un-mute quickly.
But here’s a simple way to get access to the mute and other phone controls with two actions. If the iPhone screen has locked or turned off:
Push home button to re-activate screen. Then:
Right swipe when on a call = no passcode prompt and I get directly to the call controls
Right swipe when not on a call = prompt for passcode (or I can use my fingerprint
Quick, effective, and no messing around with missed TouchID inputs or fumbled passwords.
